Marcel Cavaliere was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he competed in dance and trained in various styles at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA). He continued his studies at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in Choreography for Stage and Film Arts. Throughout his training, Marcel had the privilege of performing works by Jiří Kylián, Hope Boykin, Bret Easterling, Paul Taylor, Dwight Rhoden, and Justin Peck. He also collaborated with renowned companies such as Kyle Abraham's A.I.M. and Doug Varone and Dancers.
