Biography
Maximilien Cossette completed his accounting studies at HEC Montréal, where he cultivated a true passion for numbers, which he sees as a form of creative expression that transcends their purely objective dimension. In 2009, he was awarded the Governor General of Canada's Academic Medal, a testament to his academic excellence and dedication.
His professional journey led him to work with Georges Marciano, founder of the legendary GUESS brand, where he acquired solid expertise in accounting and finance. Subsequently, Maximilien distinguished himself in the world of music and artistic productions, collaborating with iconic figures such as Paul Dupont-Hébert, president of the band Tandem. His appreciation for the arts, in all their forms, has imbued his professional approach with remarkable creativity and innovation.
Passionate about culture and the arts, Maximilien combines precision and artistic flair in the financial field. Having lived in Los Angeles, Pennsylvania, and Vancouver, his international experiences have enriched his perspective, broadening his global vision and understanding of cultural issues. His travels around the world have allowed him to witness cutting-edge artistic performances, thus fueling his inspiration and professional approach.
Today, at Ballets Jazz Montréal, Maximilien lends his expertise to one of the world's most renowned contemporary dance institutions. Working directly with the executive and artistic director, the technical director, and other managers, he plays a central role in balancing financial discipline with artistic ambition, contributing to BJM’s international reach and solidifying its position on the world stage.
