On March 11, 2026, Bulles Jazz Montréal returns for a second edition at the Édifice WILDER - Atrium and Studio-Theatre of Les Grands Ballets. This unique benefit evening delves into the heart of the company's creative process and highlights those who make BJM tick on a daily basis: its artists.
Four original works, conceived by dancers from the company and performed on stage by their peers, will be presented. This is a rare opportunity to discover the richness of BJM_Lab, a creative laboratory that allows dancers to explore and share their artistic universe.
The four works at a glance
THE SECOND FIRST TIME – Madeleine Salhany

This creation explores the fragility of memory. Inspired by her grandmother's battle with dementia, Madeleine Salhany offers an intimate reflection on what remains when memories fragment—between what we retain, what we reinvent, and what we must let fade away.
CHAMELEON – Zack Preece

The choreographer explores the multiple faces we adopt depending on the context. The piece addresses the difficulty of truly understanding the inner experience of others, reminding us that we can maintain deep connections while remaining strangers to each other's lived reality.
CATHARSIS – Troy Atamanuk

This work questions inner strength, the desire for transformation, and the need to move through moments of pause in order to evolve. It focuses on what escapes us before disappearing, on the persistence of ideas, and on human relationships that are sometimes out of sync.
MONSTER WITHIN – Yosmell Calderon Mejias

This piece delves into a primal, almost tribal body language. Through movements rooted in their origins, the performers transform instinct into beauty and invite us to reconnect with our ancestral roots and a collective memory inscribed in the body.
The evening will continue in a festive and warm atmosphere: bubbles, refined hors d'oeuvres, local cheeses, and an open dance floor, carried by the energy of DJ MightyKat.
Beyond the celebration, Bulles Jazz Montréal is a key moment for the company. Every ticket and every donation directly supports creation, provides dancers with the best conditions to excel, and contributes to the influence of a bold repertoire, both here and internationally.
We look forward to welcoming you.
