Itzik Galili

Driven by the rhythms of Pérez Prado, O balcao de Amor celebrates joy, lightness and the pleasure of dancing, between fantasy, sensuality and gentle choreographic madness.

After a trip to the Caribbean, Itzik Galili drew inspiration from the timeless music of the king of mambo to create a dynamic piece, infused with humorous touches, relaxed, sexy, and full of beautiful madness.

“Sometimes, as adults, seemingly insignificant events happen that take us back to our youth and its hopes. Pérez Prado’s music, with its lightness, gives me a profound sense of simple joy. I am delighted to see that the younger generation has an affinity for this music and to witness the different emotions it awakens in them: joy, laughter, but also a big smile…”

"Between fantasy and reality, the voice of reason
A border as thin as a tightrope, venerating a dream
Finally trading joy for pain
with each breath
the soul of the possessed man, dancing, invades the horizon
and plunges into the abyss."
- Itzik Galili

"Light, cheeky, and sprinkled with touches of humor, O Balcão de Amor is a grand fiesta paying homage to the music of Pérez Prado, known as the king of mambo (...). You smile as you watch the dancers sway their hips, exchange glances, and playfully slap each other's behinds. It's playful and delightfully bawdy, slightly irreverent, and highly entertaining."
