TONY BOUGIOURIS

Tony Bougiouris began his career as a professional dancer before specializing in marketing and communications. In 2002, he received his B.F.A from the Juilliard School in New York City. While at Juilliard, he performed the works of Robert Battle, Ohad Naharin, Paul Taylor, David Parsons, Hans Van Manen, Adam Hougland, Eric Hampton, and Jose Limon.

 

Upon graduation, Tony joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, where he had the opportunity to perform soloist roles in the works of world-renowned choreographers such as Jiri Kylian, Mats Ek, Kim Brandstrup, Fernand Nault, Stinj Celis, Kader Belarbi, Ohad Naharin, Shen Wei, Mauro Bigonzetti, Didi Veldman, and George Balanchine. In 2008, Tony spent a year dancing with Aterballetto in Reggio Emilia, Italy before joining Ballets Jazz Montréal in 2009.  Mr.  Bougiouris feels very fortunate to have performed in over 15 countries and 230 cities including New York, Paris, Tel Aviv, Bogota, Quito, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Venice, Berlin, Santiago, Madrid, Rome, Vancouver, Philadelphia, Toronto, Munich, Houston, Boston, Malaga, Sofia, and Luxembourg.

 

In 2013, Mr. Bougiouris decided to pursue his MBA from McGill University. Since graduating, he has worked in numerous roles across a wide range of industries including advertising, digital marketing, law, retail, and arts & culture. The ability to work creatively and strategically has been a key differentiator that has allowed him to influence change and positively impact performance. He brings these new skills and experiences with him in this new role at Ballets Jazz Montréal.
