Once again this winter, Ballets Jazz Montréal invites up-and-coming dancers aged 15 to 25 to participate in the second edition of its winter intensive, an intensive three-day training program to be held in Montreal from December 19 to 21, 2026.

Building on BJM_360, a two-week multidisciplinary and intensive summer program, the winter intensive is part of BJM’s commitment to training the next generation of dancers and connecting young artists with the professional dance community. These two annual events allow BJM to welcome up to 150 young dancers each year.

Offered in an intimate and focused format, the winter intensive will welcome only 52 participants to foster an environment conducive to exploration, exchange, and studio work. Through interaction with BJM artists and professionals, participants will be able to deepen their practice, nurture their creativity, and explore new ways of approaching movement in a stimulating and supportive environment.

Three days to dance, learn, build connections, and get a closer look at the professional world of BJM—a great way to recharge with energy and warmth in the heart of the Montreal winter.

WHEN: December 19–21, 2026

WHERE: Montreal, Quebec, Canada

NUMBER OF SPOTS: 52 dancers

COST: $775 plus taxes
