Ballets Jazz Montréal showcased its artistic expertise in New York at the Robin Hood Foundation’s prestigious annual gala, held on May 11.
For the occasion, Alexandra Damiani was invited to serve as choreographer and artistic director for a major performance bringing together artists from the New York scene and performers from BJM.
For this exceptional production, five artists from the company shared the stage with more than 30 dancers and opera singers from major New York cultural institutions, in an event attended by several influential figures from New York’s business community.
Each year, the Robin Hood Foundation gala brings together nearly 3,000 guests to support the fight against poverty in New York. The 2026 edition raised over 73 million U.S. dollars.
This presence on one of the most prominent philanthropic stages in the United States attests to BJM’s artistic leadership and the ability of its artists to thrive within North America’s influential networks.
