Originaire de Charlotte, en Caroline du Nord, DaMond LeMonte Garner a fréquenté l'université Point Park, où iel a obtenu un baccalauréat en beaux-arts en danse, avec une spécialisation en danse moderne. À Point Park, iel ont interprété les œuvres des chorégraphes Alexandra Damiani, Sidra Bell, Lucinda Childs, Lar Lubovitch, Jessica Hendricks et Anthony Tudor avec la Conservatory Dance Company. DaMond a également poursuivi sa formation et son développement artistique à Springboard Danse Montréal, au Movement Invention Project et au LAUNCH du Northwest Dance Project.
Après avoir obtenu son diplôme, DaMond s'est joint à METdance à Houston, au Texas, et a interprété des œuvres de Kyle Abraham, Christian Denice et Kate Skarpetowska. Garner a travaillé en tant qu'artiste invitée avec le Francesca Harper Project, le Black Iris Project, le Texture Contemporary Ballet et l'Orchestre symphonique de Pittsburgh. Après avoir déménagé à New York, DaMond a rejoint la Parsons Dance Company, où iel a collaboré avec les chorégraphes Rena Butler, Chanel DeSilva et Matthew Neenan, et a interprété l'œuvre de David Parsons. En plus de son travail à la Parsons Dance Company, DaMond a été artiste principal au Metropolitan Opera et artiste indépendant à New York. Iel s'est jointe à Ballets Jazz Montréal en août 2023.
